Nostalgia on Display at 52nd Annual Miami International Auto Show
Miami, FL – This year’s 52nd edition of the Miami International Auto Show will bring atouch of nostalgia with its popular Memory Lane exhibit.
Sponsored by the Antique Automobile Club of America’s South Florida Region, nearly50 cars will make up this thrilling exhibit. Some of the autos on display such as the 1928 FordModel A and 1929 Ford Model A Pickup date back close to 100 years. Car connoisseurs will beable to appreciate classic models including a 1956 Ford Thunderbird, a 1962 Pontiac Tempest LeMans and a host of popular muscle cars.
The featured car for this year’s exhibit is a 1953 Nash-Healey Le Mans Coupe byPininfarina. The vehicle was one of the first production post-war sports cars sold in America. Itwas in production from only 1951 to 1954 and sold in limited units with just 506 vehicles built. The survival rate of these cars currently is under 10 percent which means around 50 vehicles canstill be found in working condition today.
The car’s design was done by the Italian design house Pininfarina, responsible for makingsome of the world’s most recognized car designs. Nash-Healey Le Mans Coupe’s design wasinspired by Ferrari and Mercedes.

The original plan was to fit the car with a big American V8, but the company settled for ahefty inline V6 engine that produced 125 HP. Over half a century ago, the vehicle cost roughly$6,000.
“The Memory Lane exhibit gives you a firsthand look at the history of the last century asit relates to the world of automobiles,” said Debra Koebel, auto show manager. “The exhibitattracts both young and mature car enthusiasts because it unites the past with the present.”
