Miami international auto show closes successful show

Electric Vehicles Take Center Stage

MIAMI – The annual Miami International Auto Show, which featured an impressive lineup of autos including the recently unveiled 2024 Ford Mustang along with a Dodge Hornet, Nissan Versa and two Chevy EVs – the Equinox and Blazer and both the Ford Mustang Mach-E and Mach-EGT, recently closed its successful nine-day run with more than a 30 percent increase in paid attendance from the previous year.

The ever-emerging EV revolution was the focus of this year’s Miami International Auto Show as attendees were able to ride in many of the industry’s newest electric vehicles on two indoor test tracks right from the show floor.

Miami International Auto Show 2022 debuted its “MIAS EV Test Track Powered by FPL Evolution Charging Network” which offered rides in vehicles provided by Cadillac, Chevrolet, Ford, Volkswagen and FPL. Hyundai presented a second indoor EV Test Track, “It’s Your Journey Course,” that offered rides in the 2023 IONIQ 5. Charging stations were located adjacent to the test tracks.

“We hope our attendees now have a better understanding of the benefits of owning an electric vehicle,” said Debra Koebel, show manager. “Our special thanks to FPL for their sponsorship of the “MIAS EV Test Track Powered by FPL Evolution Charging Network.”
